What the extension does
CS2 Trade Inventory Quote helps a signed-in snakecate.com user read the tradable CS2 inventory associated with a supplied Steam Trade Link. It uses the Steam account already signed in to Chrome and runs only after the user requests a quote.
Information processed
For a requested quote, the extension processes the Trade Link, target SteamID64, signed-in SteamID64, and tradable inventory item details such as asset identifiers, market names, images, float, pattern, and finish information. These item details are sent to snakecate.com solely to calculate and display the quote.
Steam credentials
The extension never accesses Steam passwords. It temporarily reads Steam's page session identifier only to send the requested same-origin inventory request to Steam. The identifier stays in the Steam page, is not stored, and is never sent to snakecate.com. The temporary page is closed when the request finishes.
Storage, sharing, and retention
Inventory details are processed for the requested price quote and are not sold, used for advertising, or shared for unrelated purposes. The extension does not maintain its own inventory database. Operational server logs may retain anonymized account keys, request outcomes, timing, and item counts for reliability and abuse prevention; they do not contain Steam cookies or Trade Link tokens.
Website access
The published extension is limited to snakecate.com and steamcommunity.com. It does not run on unrelated websites.
